Why Worry When You Can Act

I am from a very beautiful town. The natural landscape, green and lush. full of flowing waters, flowers, soil that easily grows vegetables is wonderful. The state itself has always held a clean and organized atmosphere but when I was younger it was a common sense hard-working organization that took pride in roots, families and extended families and of course tradition. The town has changed some but it is something that I have noticed across the US not just localization. There is a noisier, more careless, and even more so a self inflated sense of importance amoung the "new" bosses in town. I am a director of this, I am the marketing super super super intendent of that. I am big, I am important. I am I am I am. It just gives me a freaking head ache. One little happening nailed my coffin yesterday. I was bopping around running errands and while returning to my car in a newer residential area, not far from the house that I grew up in but far enough that that street had not existed 20 years ago, a middle aged man looked at my liscense plate and said: All the way from California to do this? He had a self egrandized tone in his voice as he watered his newly seeded grass in his newly sided one-up prefab house. I just looked at him and said uh-huh. But what I wanted to say was I was born up the street you violent, unaware, uncreative, insensitve pastey little twat. But I didn't.
All this to say that this area as beautiful as it is, has a mask covering deeply ingrained unconsciousness. Read that again. Wisconsin is roughly 61% self-proclaimed Christian and I say self-proclaimed because Christian values are not the same as Church going hypocrates who think they know everything. It is exactly this self-righteousness that The Christ was teaching against but then again The Christ was also teaching healing with your own hands and helping those in need to become full with self esteam and good humanity. The true Christ is quite different from the over all vibe in this area. People often 'worry about you' in this area, and will 'pray for you' as a result of their worry. This is humanities original sin. This is the local area answer to an ego-centric culture. When someone is worrying about another and expresses it as though they care, what happens behind closed doors is another story which leads to guildt, which leads to additions and abuses of all kinds. Or in the case of the little weasel watering his mealy yard if the ego is grand enough they will acost you publically and get shameful pulic approval. This is not an exageration.
Worry is a mask used to cover fears or lack of truth in action based in compassion that would benefit another being outside of the self. When someone is praying for you or worrying about you they are showing you not only their superficial mask full of judgements and ego, they are also showing familial wounding that has not been healed, does not know where to begin for healing and does not even know that it needs an overhaul in the consciousness department. Arrogance and ignorance is a terrible duo. In the book Living Enlightenment (Gospel of Paramahamsa Nithyananda) on page 19 within the whole chapter on the topic of Worry, He shares a technique: Try this technique. When you see something - say a person, or a situation, or a book, or anything - normally old thoughts and familiar reactions immediately rise in you. Bring awareness that these conditioned thoughts and memories cloud your judgement and visualize shattering those thoughts. Next, see the situation, or person, or object now with a fresh eye, as though you are seeing it for the first time! Suddenly you see how much you missed, because of your own worry and thoughts.
This is a profound teaching. How many of us can actually slow down enough in the moment to witness our thought process. Can you? Are you aware of your own breathing patterns? In a community, full of so much beauty even the land is crying out to be seen and heard but no one realizes it. This state is known for its farming and ruthlessly, violenty harms animals with no questions asked. There is a numbness to the human conditioner here and it is played out in ego driven personalities that are not graceful. No amount of sprinkler water is going to take the place of rain. Rain showers onto land to grow the luxury of plants, grasses, trees, fruits and vegetables and we think it is seperate from out daily life the way mainstream sets up everything in a channel. Mainstream is unconscious conditioning just as your Christ consciousness is hiding from you under all the many layers of worry and guildt. How about becoming more conscious of the self? How we treat ourselves, others, nature, and especially animals is reflected in the macrocosm of our inner nature. Even one moment of piercing through this childish ego that we love so much that is keeping us a fat kid in a candy store who noone really likes, that is the ego. It is the mean girl, it is the whorish party girl, that is the duchey know-it-all, ego is the persona who knows how to do something that would benefit another but chooses not to out of spite.
It is possible to live in a naturally beautiful place and also have a quailty of consciounsess amoung the citizens. I certainly do not want to see litter in the forests, on the streets or dumped out a window of a passing car. Keeping our surroundings clean and beautiful shows respect for the area, how about showing respect to yourself and clean up your mind-field, clean up your breathing habbits. Stop "praying for" others, "worrying for" others and then feeling guildty and shame for what your mind is really telling you. Start behaving out of truth and righteousness. That will only happen when one is able to make a conscious choice, yes, I want to develp this human system that I have into its optimal function. And really, why would you not want your own body, your own self, your own mental- physical- emotional capacities to be performing at its best? Stop hiding behind prayers and worries and start acting correctly. Start investigating your own thoughts, your own lack of Christ consciousness or whatever you want to call it. Your own soul will thank you and this will truly beautify that land you live on.
